Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 June 2026

1. Introduction and Data Fiduciary identity

This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how we collect, use, protect, and delete the personal and health data of our Data Principals (patients and users). The Data Fiduciary responsible for your data is VisiMedic International Healthcare LLP (operating as ElivioCare), registered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

ElivioCareprovides home healthcare and medical nursing services, connecting families with verified nurses and trained caregivers. This policy is published in compliance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, the Apple App Store Guidelines for health apps, and the Google Play Developer Policies.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the data necessary to deliver care. The itemized list of what we collect is:

Identity information

  • Name, age, and gender
  • Government ID, only where required for medical validation

Contact information

  • Phone number and email address
  • Exact physical home address, used to dispatch nurses and medical equipment

Protected Health Information (PHI)

  • Vitals and ongoing treatment logs
  • Medical history and current medications
  • Physician prescriptions
  • Wound images, where applicable to your care

Device and usage data

  • IP address and device type
  • In-app interaction data used to operate and improve the service

3. Purpose of processing

We process your data strictly for the purposes of health management and care delivery:

  • Service delivery — facilitating home nursing, ICU-at-home setups, and clinical care
  • Communication — coordinating schedules between patients and assigned nurses
  • Safety and quality — verifying care plans and improving service quality

ElivioCare does not and will never use, sell, or share personal health information (PHI) or any HealthKit / Google Fit data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining purposes.

4. Consent and withdrawal

Under the DPDP Act, your consent must be free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous. We collect your data only after you take an affirmative action — checking an explicit opt-in box that is never pre-checked.

You may withdraw your consent at any time from within the app settings. Please note the consequences of withdrawal: for example, if you withdraw consent for location data, we will be unable to dispatch home nurses to your address.

5. Data sharing and third parties

  • Medical staff — your data is shared with assigned nurses or clinicians solely to provide your care.
  • Legal compliance — data may be shared with Indian authorities only when mandated by a lawful order.

ElivioCare stores data on secure, encrypted servers and does not store Protected Health Information (PHI) in iCloud. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data retention and account deletion

We retain medical records only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected and as required by applicable law, including the retention periods set out under the Clinical Establishments Act guidelines. Once retention is no longer required, records are securely purged.

You may permanently delete your account and all associated health data at any time by navigating to Profile › Settings › Delete Account. This immediately initiates the data-purge process. Deletion is irreversible, except where retention of specific records is legally required.

7. Security safeguards

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.3, and data at rest is secured using industry-standard encryption protocols. Access to your data is restricted to staff who require it to provide the requested service.

In the event of a data breach, we commit to notifying affected users and the Data Protection Board of India within the legally required 72-hour window.

8. Your rights as a Data Principal

Under the DPDP Act, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access — view or download a summary of your health data.
  • Right to correction and erasure — update inaccurate medical history or request deletion.
  • Right of nomination — designate a family member or representative to manage your data rights in the event of death or incapacity.
